Accessibility Statement

RDD Labs is a two-person game studio in Ashdod, Israel, operated as a sole trader (osek patur). We want rdd-labs.com and the Color Drain page to be usable by everyone — including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion.

This statement says what is in place today, what is not right yet and when we expect to fix it, and how to reach us when something gets in your way.

We work to WCAG 2.0 Level AA — the level Israeli Standard IS 5568 is anchored to — and test against WCAG 2.1 where it goes further. Most of the site meets that level. The items listed under "Known limitations" do not yet, which is why the status is partial rather than full.

As a sole trader (osek patur), RDD Labs is exempt from the website-accessibility duty in Israel's Service Accessibility Regulations. We publish this statement voluntarily and treat the limitations below as work to finish, not as a legal position.

• Keyboard: every control can be reached with Tab and shows a visible focus ring; "Skip to main content" is the first tab stop on every page, and every page exposes main, navigation and footer landmarks.
• Forms: every field has a label a screen reader can read; validation messages appear in the page and are announced, and never rely on colour alone. The investor dialog moves focus in and returns it when closed.
• Motion: the operating system's "reduce motion" setting is honoured, and both main pages have a "Pause motion" control that stops all animation and remembers your choice.
• Older phones: a lite mode switches off the heaviest visual effects automatically so pages stay responsive on low-end devices.
• Language: a full Hebrew translation with right-to-left layout; the page language and direction are declared for assistive technology, and the language choice is a real address (?lang=he) you can share.
• Contrast: body text on the dark background measures at least 4.5:1, and headings are plain white at about 18:1.
• Structure: one main heading per page with no skipped heading levels, and the FAQ uses real buttons that announce whether an answer is open or closed.

We would rather list these honestly than claim a conformance we have not earned yet.

• The brand wordmarks ("DRAIN", the logo subtitle, "mobile games") are painted as gradients. In Samsung Internet's dark mode they can render far below the contrast minimum. A fix that paints them as solid text on that browser is in review.Expected: September 2026
• The Hebrew site renders in your device's default Hebrew typeface, because the brand fonts have no Hebrew glyphs, and some display text is letter-spaced for Latin rather than Hebrew. Brand-consistent Hebrew typography is in progress.Expected: September 2026
• The Security and Press pages are available in English only.Expected: October 2026
• A few strings on the Hebrew site are still in English — the countdown labels and the field labels of the investor form.Expected: September 2026
• Icons are emoji and text glyphs rather than drawn icons, so they look different from one device to another. They are hidden from assistive technology and never carry information on their own.Expected: Q4 2026
• Testing so far: automated checks plus a manual audit of the rendered pages on two Android handsets (a Galaxy A04 in Samsung Internet and a Mi 9T Pro in Chrome). A full screen-reader pass with TalkBack, NVDA and VoiceOver has not been completed yet.Scheduled: Q4 2026

If any part of the site is hard to use, tell us. We will fix it, or give you the same content another way in the meantime.

We review this statement whenever the site changes in a way that affects accessibility, and at least once a year. The audit date at the top is the date of the last check, not the date the page was written.
